ザコパネ　Zakopane

ポーランド最南部、スロヴァキアとの国境地帯に横たわるタトラ山地にある国境の町で
人口3万弱の保養地である
２０００ｍ級の山々が連ならり山岳リゾートとして、スキー場を中心として人気が高い
鉄道でクラクフから約３時間、ワルシャワから約６時間かかる

左ガイドのAndrew 右ドライバーのＡｌｅｘ
Ａｎｄｒｅｗ曰く、彼の村の伝説によれ
ばその昔モンゴルに襲われモンゴルの血
が混じった　　それ故彼もどことなく東洋人
の雰囲気を持つのだと

ザコパネの観光客には民俗の多様性が
見られた　　賑やかなバザール

すっかり仲良くなったＡｎｄｒｅｗと車中色々な話をした
その中でナチスの罪について彼の話が心に残った
ナチスが多数のユダヤ人を虐殺した　　ナチスは確かに悪い　　
しかしポーランドもある時代、国民から政治的な問題を国民
の目から逸らせる為に
ユダヤ人を悪者にした時代がある
その為に彼の高校の友人は犠牲者になり命を落とした

この話を基に英語のスピーチを作ってみた

Andrew is a Polish and my tour guide in Poland.

I met him in Kracow Poland this summer.

He guided me the mountainous area in Poland by a car.

During sightseeing I asked him many topics about Poland.

He was 60^th and we were almost same generation.

We had some same experiences in our past.

So I could understand his answer very easily.

He was very smart, intelligent and liberalist.

We became like an old friend each other soon after.

We talked about the world war �U and the Nazi’s crime

At the war Poland had got big damage from the Nazis.

Also many Jewish people were killed by the Nazis.

He hated the crime but didn’t hate German people

He said he hate the Politic but doesn’t hate the People.

The Nazis killed a lot of Jewish.

Because they need to make enemy in order to hide
many domestic problems from the nation.

But even Polish made the enemy and the victim were also Jewish.

 

He introduced a story about his classmate at the high school.

The friend was a Jewish boy.

He was very gentle, soft, and above all an ordinary boy.

They were very good friends and played each others.

 

After graduated high school they studied at University.

Andrew studied Economy and the friend studied Architecture.

At that time Poland had many political problems in the country.

In order to hide the problems from the nations, the Polish government needed to make the enemy or victim.

They chose the target to the Jewish.

The Polish government ordered his family to move from Poland.

The friend parents both were academic teacher but they lost their jobs.

His family chose to go to Israel.

After that the friend didn’t contact with him.

The friend might have big hurt in his mind.

 

Many years had passed.

One day Andrew got news about the Jewish friend.

The News surprised him very much.

The boy entered in the Israel army and fought against Palestine.

The boy was shot dead at the Golan Heights.

 

Andrew said to me,

I like people but I don’t like politic and politicians.

They sometime tell a lie and even kill innocent people.

The boy was killed by Polish government and politicians.

 

Andrew finished the story with tears slightly for the boy.
